This drawing is also signed by Flight Lieutenant Aubrey Niner - Blenheim pilot who was shot down over Lille in July 1942 and imprisoned in the infamous Stalag Luft III. In one of several escape attempts Aubrey posed as a gymnast in the famous Wooden Horse plot that was later recreated in the legendary war film ‘The Great Escape’.
