Superb Grumman F-14 Tomcat by Franklin Mint (previously CDC Armour Collection) in US Navy VX-4 markings.

This F-14 Tomcat is from  'Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Four' or VX-4, a special US Navy evaluation unit. Based at NAS Point Mugu in 1985 the aircraft was piloted by Captain Moon Vance. Finished in a special US Navy all gloss black camouflage trial paint job and nicknamed 'Black Bunny', the aircraft featured a Playboy bunny motif on the tail.

A substantial and heavy weight die cast metal model with some plastic parts.

A pre-owned model taken in as part of a larger collection of aviation items. This model was displayed briefly but has spent most of its time boxed and in storage. The model is in perfect 'as new' condition. The original box is very good with just a few minor imperfections. The original internal packaging retaining screws are missing, the model will be well secured in transit by the custom formed polystyrene pieces but care should be taken when opening.

These larger Franklin Mint pieces are getting hard to find now, this one particularly so, they look very impressive when displayed and would be a nice gift for an aviation enthusiast.

For transit the original box will be packed securely inside a bigger postal box.
