Flight of Eagles by Robert Taylor features General Adolf Galland leading a schwarm of Me109s from his famous JG26 'Schlageter' Fighter Wing, as they head out on an early morning patrol over Pas de Calais, 1941.This rare print was released in 1985. The edition of 1500 copies was signed (but not individually numbered) by the artist Robert Taylor and Luftwaffe legend Generalleutnant ADOLF GALLAND Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves, Swords & Diamonds - 104 victories.
This particular print has had extra signatures added including Gunther Rall, Hans-Ekkehard Bob, Hugo Broch and Alfed Ambs - giving 19 in total.
Condition: this print has been dry mounted onto board which has undermined its value somewhat - on the plus size it has helped it survive the extra signing sessions without the usual kings and creases that affect most multi signed prints of this sort. The print is now 40 years old and the image, whilst still pretty good, has lost some of its original vibrancy.
A copy of this print in perfect condition with just the one signature by Adolf Galland would be at least £250 - multi Luftwaffe signed prints like this can go for many hundreds of pounds making this print exceptional value despite its flaws. It does not have a CoA.
