In 1976, British Rail brought into service the first of the Class 253 High Speed Trains, known since then as the Inter-City 125. Forty years later they remain one of the stalwarts of Britain's railways and are a much loved sight. This image shows an early example in the British Rail Blue and Yellow livery carried between 1976 and 1982.
