A folio dedicated to all who fought and won the Battle of Britain.
A superb folio that looks closely at 25 of the Battle of Britain fighter pilots. The book was first released in 1990 to acknowledge 50 years since the Battle of Britain - it was issued initially as a very expensive limited edition in collaboration with the RAF Benevolent Fund. This version was published in 1992 by W H Smith and was a way to bring this excellent book to a wider audience.
For each of the veterans featured there is a short bio, a copy of their own hand written reminiscences, a portrait photo, a silhouette profile and a photo of some of their significant memorabilia.
This completely unique copy carries the original signatures of 33 RAF aircrew veterans including Tom Dalton-Morgan, Pete Brothers, Paddy Barthropp, Tom Neil, Basil Stapleton and Ivor Broom.

Condition: the book is in excellent condition overall, the dustjacket has some slight evidence of wear, price is clipped.
