A folio dedicated to all who served with RAF Bomber Command 1939-45.
A superb folio that looks closely at 25 distinguished Bomber Command veterans. The book was first released in 1995 and was a follow on to the immensely successful 'So Few' which had been released in 1990 to acknowledge 50 years since the Battle of Britain. Like 'So Few', it was issued initially as a very expensive limited edition in collaboration with the RAF Benevolent Fund, with this open version, published by W H Smith, being a way to bring this excellent book to a wider audience.
For each of the veterans featured there is a short bio, a copy of their own hand written reminiscences, a portrait photo, a silhouette profile and a photo of some of their significant memorabilia.
This completely unique copy carries the original signatures of 38 RAF Bomber Command and Luftwaffe aircrew veterans including Tony Iveson, Bill Reid VC, Ivor Broom, Wilf Burnett, night fighter specialists Branse Burbridge and Peter Spoden of NJG6, and designer Norman 'Spud' Boorer who worked with Barn Wallis on the Dambusters 'Upkeep' bouncing bomb.
