The Storm Clouds Gather by Nicolas Trudgian features Me109Es of I.JG2 heading out over the English Channel.

Me109s of I/JG2, under the command of the brilliant Helmut Wick, setting out on a mission across the English Channel in September 1940. Wick, seen in the foreground, with Gunther Seeger off his starboard wing, was the top-scoring Luftwaffe Ace in the Battle of Britain with 56 victories.

The Portfolio Proof comes with a matching numbered Companion Print depicting the Me109 of Major Helmut Wick. It is double matted to include the original signature in pencil of Major Julius Meimberg who was in combat alongside Wick on the day that the Kommodore was shot down over the channel, 28 November, 1940.

The Storm Clouds Gather - Portfolio Proof by Nicolas Trudgian is signed by two prominent Battle of Britain JG2 'Richthofen' Aces:

Published in 2000 this print sold out some time ago and is becoming increasingly difficult to find. This copy is in mint condition and comes with the original Certificate of Authenticity.
