This card was originally published and sold to raise funds for the Bomber Command Memorial Appeal. This was one of many charitable projects that contributed to the the successful realisation of the Bomber Command Memorial in London's Green Park, which is a fitting tribute to the 55,573 Bomber Command Aircrew who lost their lives in WW2. The back of the card has information about the appeal which is obviously a little out of date now, hence the price reduction.
