A Bristol Blenheim I grounded due to heavy snow.
In the years leading up to World War II the Bristol Blenheim was an important aircraft for the RAF. It was built in large numbers and saw use as both a fighter and a bomber and was a major improvement given its high speed compared to the biplane types it was then replacing. However it was soon found to be at a serious disadvantage to the more modern Luftwaffe fighters. This, coupled with frequent high-risk deployments, meant that the Blenheim crews often needed great skill and conspicuous gallantry to complete their missions.
