Collector's autograph display featuring the original signatures of Group Captain THOMAD GILBERT 'HAMISH' MAHADDIE DSO DFC AFC and Flight Lieutenant DOUGLAS CAMERON DFM - RAF Bomber Command.

A rare collector's piece, this ensemble carries the original signatures of two highly regarded veterans of RAF Bomber Command.

Hammish Mahaddie, an accomplished pilot, flew many bomber sorties in Short Stirlings during the early phases of the war. After a period spending time as a pilot instructor he returned to front line operations flying Lancasters and Mosquitos with the new elite Pathfinder Force, the RAF's precision target finders for night time operations.

Pershshire born Douglas Cameron completed four tours of operation as a specialist air gunner, a total of 122 missions over enemy territory. He flew with three different VC recipients and baled out twice. Initially he was on Armstrong Whitleys then Short Stirlings, then finally Lancasters having transferred to the Pathfinder Force.

Both Hamish Mahaddie and Douglas Cameron served together at the same time with RAF 635 Pathfinder Squadron.

The dramatic artwork by Darryl Legg features a 149 Squadron Short Stirling during a bombing raid on the Fiat factory works in Turin, late 1942.
