Collector's autograph display featuring the original signature of Group Captain JOHN WADDY DFC - RAF WW2 Pilot.
John Waddy, a tough Australian fighter pilot, flew Hurricanes, Tommahawks, Kittyhawks and Spitfires in combat during the north African campaign. He destroyed 15 enemy aircraft in the space of 15 months in 1942 while supporting the 8th Army from the air. After the great victory at El Alamein, Waddy returned to Australia to command 80 Sqn, RAAF following which he was involved in air fighting in the Far East, taking part in operations in New Guinea and Borneo. After the war John Waddy became Aide-de-Camp to Queen Elizabeth II.
