Collector's autograph display featuring the original signatures of Wing Commander BOB STANFORD-TUCK DSO DFC** and Air Commodore PETE BROTHERS DSO DFC* - RAF Battle of Britain Pilots.
Few pilots were more admired and feted in the Press during the Battle of Britain than these two great fighter Aces. Both had flown during the battle of France and over Dunkirk as Germany prepared to invade England and when the time came they both excelled during the hard-fought summer of 1940. Bob Stanford-Tuck flew Spitfires and Hurricanes in the Battles of France and Britain. He led 257 Sqn's Hurricanes in the summer of 1940 before taking command of the Duxford Wing. He was shot down and captured in 1942. Pete Brothers flew Hurricanes throughout both great air battles, joining Stanford-Tuck's 257 Sqn in August 1940. He later led the Tangmere Wing.
